Udzungwa is among the ancient ranges of the Eastern Arc, has been accorded national park status. It is also unique within Tanzania in that its closed-canopy forest spans altitudes of 250 meters (820 feet) to above 2,000 meters (6,560 ft) without interruption.
Early morning you will be picked up in Morogoro and drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park with your picnic lunch, on arrival hiking to Sanje Waterfalls in Udzungwa Mountains. The Udzungwa Mountains National Park, which is 1990 sq. kms. Is the first terrestrial National park in Tanzania. It is well known for its biologically diverse forest, with approximately 20 – 30% out of 200 animals and plant species that grow here not found any where in the world. Still it is really beautiful place for hiking. It is one of the top ten forests for bird conservation in Africa. Wildlife Variety of animal species can be found here, including water buffalo, leopards, elephants, and full of reptiles and snakes and more, later in the evening we drive back to Morogoro.
